Bio-remodelling

PROFHILO® and skin boosters — what they actually do

5 min read

Bio-remodelling agents — PROFHILO®, Teoxane Redensity and similar — are frequently confused with dermal filler. They aren't. Filler creates volume by displacing tissue; bio-remodelling stimulates your own skin to produce more collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.

The mechanism, briefly

Injected into specific anatomical points, high-purity hyaluronic acid diffuses through the tissue and biologically stimulates fibroblasts. Over four to six weeks, skin quality improves — firmer, more elastic, better hydrated. Nothing changes the shape of the face.

Who it suits

Patients in their late twenties onward noticing early laxity, crepiness or dullness. Also excellent as a preventative protocol in younger patients, and as a foundation before more targeted work.

Realistic results

A standard protocol is two sessions four weeks apart, with a top-up at six months. Improvements are visible but subtle — the intended outcome is that your skin looks healthier, not that you look treated.
